Bhuvan Bam, a well-known content creator and actor, has warned his fans and followers about a deepfake video of him that is being shared on social media. The video falsely represents Bhuvan urging people to invest in tennis through predictions by some wagering bookie. Consequently, the video has also summoned an immediate reaction from his team. Recently, many deepfake videos have bee made thus leading to numerous losses and inconveniences.
Complaints against the person who used Bhuvan Bam’s deepfake video as an advertisement for counterfeit products
His team promptly moved to lodge a formal complaint at the Oshiwara police station in Mumbai which brought out the nature of misleading and scandalous deepfake video. Currently, the matter is under investigation by the police.
Straightforwardly addressing this issue; Bhuvan Bam told people to be careful when dealing with it. “I want my supporters and fans all over India to know about a particular Deep-Fake Video doing rounds online right now. It is simply bogus as it leads individuals into gambling in tennis relying on some other guy’s forecasts via such kind of personalized videos.”
My Team has already done that by filling up a complaint form at Oshiwara Polic Station where police are investigating more into this matter,” he said while appealing humbly against falling into this trap. “Please save yourselves do not invest blindly so that you do not get into any trouble or financial loss.It rather makes sense to be vigilants with regard to tricks like these.”
Deepfakes use technology to produce realistic but fallacious videos sometimes leading to misinformation therefore causing distress among those affected as well. In fact before both Hollywood and Bollywood were several celebrities including Tom Hanks, Scarlett Johansson, Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Sachin Tendulkar, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Rashmika Mandana among others have faced this and raised their voice against it.
