On Thursday, the AFP reported that this year’s death toll from the hajj is over 1,000 with more than half of these victims having no registration and dying from intense heat.
An Arab Diplomat who was interviewed on the deaths as reported on Thursday also clarified that those who died included 58 people from Egypt. According to him, there were a total of 658 Egyptians in total among whom 630 were unregistered.
