Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said that Telangana should be made drug-free and asked the officials not to spare even the celebrities or the influential to send a strong message to society.
Severe measures should be taken against drug dealers and people must fear TANCB, Chief Minister told senior government officials at Police Command Control Centre and Telangana Anti Narcotics Bureau where he reviewed drug menace.
He told the officials to deal with drug peddlers with an iron hand and assured that the government would provide all necessary facilities and enablers for fighting drugs; besides he added that TGNAB must become a model for other states.
Mr. Revanth Reddy charged the officials to take strict measures in a way that those living on ganja and other drugs had started fearing police. He urged them to organize special campaigns in suspected areas, keep watchful eyes at border points, as well break chain of supply of Ganja and drugs. It was necessary to create a sense of threat amongst them, he emphasized.
The CM also wanted to know about review details over eradication of ganja and drugs including anti-narcotic officers. He directed them to constitute teams against substance abuse immediately.
