According to the New York Post Vladimir Putin’s daughters emerged in public on Friday after years of secrecy as he is said to be “considering his morality.”
The President has always kept tight-lipped about his private life, and has never officially admitted that Maria Vorontsova, 39, and Katerina Tikhonova, 37, are his biological children.
Both were participating in a panel discussion during the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
She added, “Sovereignty of our country has become one of the major topics for discussions; it is an integral part of Russia’s security.”
Vorontsova who studied biology talked about innovative measures in biodiversity.
“You have to remember this is Putin’s world and we just live in it,” said Ronald Marks, a veteran U.S. intelligence officer.
“He extends himself… He wants to bring back the Russian Empire. He wants to be at least as strong as any man in Russia thus young daughters are a sign of vitality for him,” he continued.
Marks also stated that Putin was “getting ready” for the day when people began wondering about what they would say while standing beside his coffin: “He’s now getting older and thinking about leaving something behind. These kids I happen to know personally are pretty intelligent”.
“I think if those two girls come out there and represent him right up front he will take it,” Mark explained to The Daily Beast.
Recently, both women have assumed greater public roles with numerous business appearances as well as speaking engagements at various forums.
