A heavy police presence with CO City Mayank Dwivedi soon reached the party office in an attempt to pacify the protesting party workers
Ahead of the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections, some unidentified miscreants attacked the Congress party office in Amethi in Uttar Pradesh around midnight on Sunday. Several cars parked outside the office were also damaged.
The gangsters fled after the commotion, triggering protests among party workers.
Immediately after the incident, Congress district president Pradeep Singal rushed to the party office, and a large number of police and CO City Mayor Mayank Dwivedi also arrived there to try to pacify the protesting party staff member.
Dwivedi, CO City assured that the matter will be investigated and action will be taken against those responsible for the incident.
