The CISF lady constable LCT Kulwinder Kaur has been suspended after she slapped the actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut, this was regrettably very shocking. This happened at Chandigarh airport as Kangana was about to catch her flight to New Delhi. As a high-ranking CISF official remarked, the severe squabble took place after Kangana had cleared security and was headed for boarding area.
The woman constable involved claims that she hit back against a derogatory statement made by Kangana about farmers’ protests. “Kangana said that the farmers are sitting there for Rs 100. Would she go and sit there? My mother was among those protesting when Kangana made this statement.” Her mom’s involvement in the protest during the time of this remark from Kangana could be seen as a major reason for their physical fight.
In 2021, Kangna Ranaut received harsh criticism after calling Kisan Morcha a “Khalistani movement” on social media. This post drew ire from many quarters which led to an FIR being filed against her by Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), among others. The reaction of the constable may have been influenced by these earlier statements.
CISF immediately placed Kulwinder Kaur under suspension and also lodged a complaint with local police station seeking FIR in the case. A high ranking inquiry committee has been constituted to look into it from all angles,” confirmed another senior CISF officer who added it is “not merely an incident but more than that.” This incident has attracted huge attention from media quarters questioning airport security protocols and staff behavior at large. By suspending the said constable quickly, investigating fully, suspending her immediately suggests how serious is this issue according to Assistant Commandant Anil Yadav of CISF’s Chandigarh unit…” These are the things that I would give keen attention to because of their importance. The outcome of the inquiry committee and subsequent police investigations will be crucial in deciding punishments and preventing similar cases from happening again.
