Chicago airport brawl: Passengers, employees clash at O'Hare with 'wet floor' signs – watch viral fight
WWE-Style brawl broke out at Chicago O’Hare airport. Passengers and employees fought with ‘wet floor’ signs.

Chicago O’Hare International Airport, a hub known for its travel hustle and bustle, has now become the backdrop for a viral brawl that looks like something straight out of a WWE match. The incident, which took place on December 12, has left social media users scratching their heads and laughing at the spectacle, as travelers and airport employees clashed in an all-out, no-holds-barred fight.
The chaotic scene unfolded in the American Airlines ticketing area at Terminal 3, where four men became embroiled in a wild altercation. A video, which quickly made its rounds online, shows two men in black, alongside a blue-shirted individual who appears to be an employee, battling a lone man dressed in a white shirt and sweatpants. What followed was a true spectacle, complete with improvised weapons, hair-pulling, and WWE-style moves.
The three attackers took on the man in white, using “Wet Floor” signs as makeshift weapons. The sounds of plastic slapping against torsos and heads filled the terminal, and it wasn’t long before the man in white showed he wasn’t going down without a fight. He managed to toss one assailant to the ground and even ripped a handful of dreadlocks from another attacker’s scalp—a shocking moment captured from several angles by onlookers.
Things escalated quickly. As the two men with the floor signs closed in, the man in white grabbed a metal stanchion and waved it menacingly, bringing the fight to a sudden halt. His bold move seemed to convince the other fighters to back off, ending the brawl before it could get worse.

Wrestling moves and dreadlock ripping: A viral sensation
The footage of the altercation quickly gained traction on social media, with many calling it a “WWE-style match.” The video shows the man in white throwing his opponents around like a seasoned wrestler, even using a broken wet-floor sign as a weapon. In one unforgettable moment, he ripped out several dreadlocks from one of his attackers and held them triumphantly for all to see.
Witnesses who shared the video joked that they were watching a fight fit for the ring, with some speculating that the brawl may have been staged as part of some weird promotional stunt. Others found the spectacle much less glamorous, questioning the safety and security of a public space like an airport.
Not your average airport fight
Contrary to initial reports, the people involved in the brawl were not American Airlines employees. Instead, they were workers from concession stands at the airport, adding a twist to the mystery of the fight’s origin. Despite the chaos, Chicago police responded swiftly but made no arrests, noting that the altercation didn’t disrupt travel for other passengers.
While authorities have yet to release an official statement on the motive behind the fight, questions about the incident continue to circulate. What started the fight? Was it personal, or was it just the latest in a long line of bizarre public incidents?
Unanswered questions and no arrests
Despite the viral video and multiple reports from eyewitnesses, Chicago police have confirmed that no arrests were made, and no official report was filed. The Chicago Department of Aviation, which oversees O’Hare, did not comment on the situation, referring all inquiries to the Chicago Police Department instead. As for the exact role of the concession stand workers involved, that remains unclear.
While no one knows for sure what sparked the fight, the brawl at O’Hare has become the latest in a growing trend of chaotic incidents in public spaces across the U.S., many of which are spreading like wildfire on social media.
So, while we may never know the full story behind this bizarre brawl, one thing is certain: O’Hare Airport now has a new viral sensation—and possibly a new attraction for travelers looking for something a little extra while waiting for their flights.
