Raipur: Kaustub Shukla from chhattisgarh Will serve as office manager Supreme Court Association of Advocates of the Record (SCAORA). Shukla hails from Raipur and is a advocate of recordwas elected as joint secretary Scaola.
He completed his education in Bhilai. After school, he studied law at a college in Pune. He is the first lawyer from Chhattisgarh to hold a position on the esteemed Executive Committee of SCAORA.
“Yes, no one else from Chhattisgarh has served as an officer of SCAORA (i.e. Supreme Court Bar Association of Record). I am the first person from Chhattisgarh to be elected as the office bearer of SCAORA ,” Shukla, a registered lawyer with the Chhattisgarh Bar Council, told the Times of India.
“I started my legal career from the Trial Court of Delhi and rose through the ranks and am currently practicing in the Supreme Court,” Shukla said. During his practice in the Supreme Court, Shukla handled various issues including constitutional, civil, commercial, income tax and criminal matters.
SCAORA is the Supreme Court’s premier bar association. Attorneys who have passed the Bar Examination of Record are the only persons eligible to join SCAORA. SCAORA held its Executive Committee elections on April 29. Shukla said the main function of the SCAORA Executive Committee is to address the issues and needs of practicing lawyers in the Supreme Court.
On election day, supporters came out in large numbers to vote and elect their own executive committee, with the results announced at the end of the day.
