Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) is thrilled to announce a special celebration of Chandu Champion released in June this year with Kartik Aaryan’s essay as the lead. This event will have a special Fan Interactive Session featuring actor Kartik Aaryan and renowned director Kabir Khan. The pair will discuss their critically acclaimed film, Chandu Champion, during the festival which runs from August 15th to August 25th 2024. It is scheduled for August 17.

Chandu Champion has won hearts all over the world through its inspiring depiction of Padmashri Murlikant Petkar, India’s first Paralympic gold medalist. Kartik Aaryan’s performance in the lead role characterized by significant transformation has been hailed as his defining moment and the movie praised for its soulfulness, emotional resonance and amazing storytelling.
During this exclusive session, a discussion between Kabir Khan and Kartik Aaryan about how they created this outstanding sports biopic shall take place. They are going to provide certain insights into their creative process, hardships faced and extraordinary devotion needed to bring out Murlikant Petkar story alive. The audience will be privileged to learn firsthand information on how Kartik was deeply involved in preparation for his role that made him look like a real legend among athletes.
This is Kartik Aaryan’s second appearance at IFFM after he was recognized as the Rising Global Indian Superstar of Indian Cinema in 2023. His continued involvement in the festival goes along way towards cementing his position within the industry.
