87.98% students passed the board examination. More than 24,000 candidates scored above 95% and more than 116,000 scored above 90%.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is India’s national education board that oversees public and private schools. The Commission was established in 1929 by a government resolution to promote inter-state cooperation and integration in the field of secondary education. Currently, more than 27,000 schools in India and 240 schools in 28 countries are affiliated to CBSE. “All schools affiliated to CBSE follow the NCERT curriculum, especially for classes 9 to 12.” The current chairman of the board is Rahul Singh, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer.
In 1952, the charter of the board was revised to form its current name: Central Board of Secondary Education. On July 1, 1962, the Commission was reorganized to expand its services to students and educational institutions nationwide.
