Inconvenience was experienced by travellers to Kalaburagi aboard the Star Air flight when the flight scheduled for 4.20 p.m on May 20 (Monday) at Tirupati airport was cancelled at the last minute.
At the last minute, representatives from Star Air announced that a technical fault had led to the cancellation of the flight. Some passengers were so exasperated that they demonstrated at the airport with placards calling for alternative arrangements.
After talks involving several intermediaries, they persisted and asked for either their fares back or another option and got their request satisfied by an airline representative. A refund was taken up by many while some others rebooked for a trip to take place on May 21 (Tuesday).
