According to Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, there are chances of the merger between Bharat Rashtriya Samiti (BRS) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Friday restated his remarks that BRS could merge with the BJP any time soon.
Speaking informally to journalists in New Delhi, Mr. Reddy stated that KCR will be appointed as Governor while his son and working president of party K.T.Rama Rao can enter into Union cabinet. The ex-Minister also revealed that T.Harish Rao would become the Leader of Opposition in the Telangana Assembly.
“BRS members will merge in BJP in Rajya Sabha,” said the CM, adding that this would help KCR’s daughter and MLC from K.Kavitha to come up for election of Upper House Parliamentarians. Also, she would get bail release during Delhi liquor case. On Wednesday, Mr. Reddy said it may be denied by leaders of BRS but the truth is there is no way they can escape merger anymore.
Protests against attempts to involve his family members in political issues
He has also condemned political parties attempt to drag his family into controversies. “No one from my family has any position in Congress Government.” My family is in USA for many years now. ”There is nothing like my brother having a position or a responsibility about being part of the Government.” I have seven brothers. No, just because I became a CM must they sit at home? ”Even my brother’s visit abroad has been politicized,” he lamented.

The Government reserves ₹5,000 crore for farm loan waiver. “If more than one member of a family had loans exceeding ₹2 lakhs, the family was treated as a single unit and granted loan waiver up to ₹2 lakhs,” he added.
The CM declared that August 15th was deliberately decided as the date for completion of farm loan waiver. “That is just to show my mark on administration as well as commitment,” he concluded.
