Filmmaker Deepak Tijori arrested producer Vikram Khakhar of Pal Gaon Media, casting him in the police complaint of Amboli Police Station, Mumbai for swindling and cheating him of Rs. 17.50 lakhs. The complaint was filed by the actor-filmmaker on September 17. Bollywood Hungama has obtained a police complaint.

Deepak Tijori’s FIR states that he forged the signature of Vikram Khakhar in 2019 when he was working as a line producer. Deepak had even discussed something about the Tipppsy film which seems to have been on hold for some time. Vikram Khakhar offered that its shooting can be arranged in London England. Only he said that Rs. 15 lakhs would have to be paid by Deepak Tijori. Deepak agreed and on March 3, 2020 which included the said amount and the GST he transferred Rs. 17.40 Lakhs to Vikram.

Deepak Tijori then goes on to record in the complaint that every time he would make an inquiry to Vikram Khakhar in regards to the status of the film, he would be told that film shoots in that particular country were up in halts due to the Covid-19. Deepak then said that even the after the effects of the pandemic were over, he would still come up with reasons not to get the films on floors. Understanding that it is not possible in any way that Vikram Khakhar will extend a helping hand for shooting Tipppsy, Deepak Tijori turned to him asking for his money. Vikram was all talk about paying back but there was no violation of this statement. On March 14, when Deepak messaged him, when Vikram Khakhar assured Deepak that he would be coming to meet him Vikram Khakhar explained but did not turn up for the appointment.

Deepak Tijori also said that there were some bills that came up on his screen while he was trying to obtain Tipppsy which showed that he had tried on his own to develop the project and had not invested one dollar towards production costs.

The FIR was filed under 420 Cheating and 406 Criminal breach of trust of newly framed Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

Vikram Khakhar has recently produced Manoj Bajpayee starrer Bhaiyya Ji and is also one of the producers of Vikrant Massey-Raashii Khanna starrer Talaakhon Mein Ek.
