Akshay Kumar’s fans will have to wait a little longer before catching him in the much-awaited comedy movie Welcome To The Jungle. The film was originally scheduled for release during Christmas 2024, but has been pushed back to 2025.
BREAKING! Release of Akshay Kumar starrer Welcome To The Jungle delayed until 2025
This production delay will affect the release date of Welcome To The Jungle
The reason for its postponement is said to be that it is still being produced. Still, there are more shooting schedules left and this makes it impossible to achieve the tight deadline for Christmas 2024. This change is meant to avoid any confrontation with Aamir Khan’s Sitare Zameen Par and Mufasa: The Lion King from Hollywood which are both expected out in December 2024.
Initial release plans for Welcome To The Jungle
Earlier reports suggested that Firoz A Nadiadwala, the producer, had planned on releasing “Welcome To The Jungle” over the lucrative Christmas weekend like he did for the first film in 2007. However, recent updates indicate that changes had to be effected due to changes in production timeline.
Other cast members besides Akshay Kumar include Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Johny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Mika Singh, Rahul Dev, Mukesh Tiwari, Sharib Hashmi, Inaamulhaq, Zakir Hussain, Yashpal Sharma, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez and Disha Patani among others. Sanjay Dutt was also part of this film initially but he is no longer associated with it.
On a related note however; Sitare Zameen Par was recently shot by Aamir Khan. The actor is seen having a chat in this video. Another photo that has been shared shows a clapboard for the film, implying that it has come to an end.
