Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, it has been recently revealed, will not be released as was scheduled for 5th July. This might have led to the delaying of Ajay Devgn-Tabu starrer as a result of the super success of Kalki 2898 AD.
According to Bollywood Hungama, a source said, “Kalki 2898 AD had a strong weekend and is holding very well on the weekdays as well. Hence, it is also expected to perform well in the second weekend. If Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha releases this Friday, it’ll lead to screen-sharing issues and both films will be affected. And the exhibitors, too, would have suffered. Hence, in the larger interest of the trade, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha has been postponed”
When is the mature love story releasing at cinemas? “The makers will take a call soon. It’ll mostly come in the second week of July. It is said that the makers are also eyeing August 2,” said our source.
This means that Kill will be only Hindi language release of next week which has got great reviews. During its festival run and backed by Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment. Despicable Me 4 from Hollywood looks forward into luck in theaters.
“It’s good that Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha gets pushed.” an exhibitor commented.“This Friday it would not have done according to its potential because Kalki 2898 AD is unstoppable.”
Another theatre owner however lamented saying “We were all requesting industry people to release films during April-May. But no one listened to us and now we have multiple releases every week. We hope industry realizes importance of spacing out releases so that such situation can be prevented forthwith.”
Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Jimmy Shergill Saiee Manjrekar and Shantanu Maheshwari play lead roles in Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha. The movie is written and directed by Neeraj Pandey with its music done by Oscar winning music composer M M Kreem.
