The buzz and audience anticipation are high due to the fact that for a change, three large movies will be released this Independence Day. Promos of upcoming films are usually attached to the big screen during festive releases. This is also true for this festive season hence according to Bollywood Hungama, Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency’s theatrical trailer is going to be shown along with John Abraham-Sharvari starrer Vedaa.
A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Emergency is produced by Zee Studios, and they have also backed Vedaa. Many people will be watching Vedaa and the Zee team felt it would be an ideal time for them to watch the trailer of their dream project and hence create hype around it.”
Furthermore, they went ahead to say that “They thus requested for a certificate from Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The Examining Committee of CBFC cleared Emergency’s trailer two days ago i.e., on 7th August with a U/A certificate. The duration of the trailer is 2 minutes 57 seconds.”
It is directed by Kangana Ranaut who also acted as one of its producers in addition to playing India’s former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in this film which will come out on September 6. The other characters in this movie include Anupam Kher as Jayaprakash Narayan, Shreyas Talpade as Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Mahima Chaudhary as Pupul Jayakar, Milind Soman as Sam Manekshaw and Satish Kaushik late Jagjivan Ram.
Kangana Ranaut speaking during an interview conducted last year by Times Now Navbharat stated that “Even me I want it(I want to clarify). I want to talk about our prime minister’s life. She has been elected thrice. It is her story, the good and bad that she did. A woman is an entity in her own right. But to already assume that I have favoured a (political party), this is a wrong perception.”
