The actress Kareena Kapoor Khan took to her instagram page where she wrote “12 years later, the same narrative, the same protest. But we’re still waiting for change.” This is in reference to 2012 Delhi gang rape and murder popularly known as the Nirbhaya case.
“Justice for women,” wrote Sara Ali Khan.
Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar on black background typed, “Still waiting on the day all women can be independent and safe.”
In her Instagram post Navya Naveli Nanda posted, Amitabh Bachchan’s granddaughter wrote, “Yet another horrific rape has unfolded in front of our eyes. First things first let us pray for her and her family. Women have always played a very important role in the growth and developement of our country. The workplace, the classroom and the home mist be an enabling and safe space for us. Men as well as women should stand together against such mindsets or belief systems that continuously treat women as objects or regard them easy prey.”

On August 9, the body of the female post-graduate trainee (PGT) doctor was discover at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata in a lecture hall. On Saturday, a community volunteer was also arrest over the matter.
In relation to an alleged rape and murder of a trainee doctor, Calcutta High Court on Tuesday directed Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to take over the investigation from Kolkata Police.
