Priyadarshan is currently preparing for a busy spell. After his social satire Corona Papers (April 2023) triumph, he has steered into numerous other projects consisting of two Hindi films and a potential Malayalam thriller. One among the particularly interesting things is the fact that Saif Ali Khan will be featuring in a Hindi suspense film. According to reports, it is an enthralling plot involving Khan undertaking a blind man’s tasking role. The actor is rumored to have shown great desire for the project, with shooting possibly beginning this year between July and August within 40 days.

Speaking exclusively with Pinkvilla, an insider said, “In Malayalam cinema Priyadarshan has become a genius for making thriller movies that are full of suspense. Now he wants one more in Hindi which will feature Saif Ali Khan as its face. There are negotiations but all that is still at very preliminary stage.”
“The script is done with and the focus now is on finalizing the cast and getting our production house,” added another source. “This film is just about taking shape now so we should have some idea in two weeks’ time,” she summarized at this nascent point.
A report by the publication also states that Bobby Deol may also join him on board.” As per reports, Deol listened to the narration a few weeks ago and immediately expressed his desire to become part of it. In one of the sources words; “Bobby was extremely impressed by the concept especially because it characterized by unexpected twists at every turn during his journey through self-discovery dubbed as ‘the most complex since Alan Turing’s’. Although initially appearing like an antagonistic character, however this person ends up being a parallel lead to Saif Ali Khan (protagonist).”
The source further disclosed Deol’s excitement to work with Khan and Priyadarshan. The informant added, “Bobby is eager for a thrilling clash with Saif Ali Khan in a movie being directed by Priyadarshan. He has a very tight schedule for the next six months but he is trying to free up some time for the 30-day shoot of this thriller. The script that he totally loves has been developed and its logistics are being worked on.”
With an anticipated marathon of 35 days scheduled for July, they aim to wrap up filming in August. “Priyadarshan wants to tell this story to Hindi language audience,” the source revealed. “At present we are looking at casting and if all goes well, this film will go into production ahead of his fantasy comedy with Akshay Kumar.”
The final shooting schedule depends on rounding out the rest of the cast and getting everyone on board at once. However, as per our insider; “Saif Ali Khan will also hold off confirming his involvement until after confirmation of who plays antagonist.”
This untitled suspense flick sets out a rare dynamic between Saif Ali Khan and Bobby Deol which could see it released sometime in 2025.
In addition, Saif Ali Khan has several projects lined up that have nothing in common with each other. They include Jewel Thief starring Jaideep Ahlawat, Click Shankar by Balaji Mohan and Devara: Part 1 together with Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor.
