On Wednesday, the national vice president of All India Kisan Sabha, E.P. Jayarajan revealed that the Central government has declared war on farmers by ignoring completely the agriculture sector in its budget. He further explained that while addressing a dharna organized by Kerala Farmer’ Association district committee here, he pointed out that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was having revengeful attitude towards farmers.
He said that the Central government is still anti-farmer as it influenced some media outlets to be on its side.
He also condemned efforts being made to dismantle old-age pension and employment guarantee schemes for aged farmers. It was P. Govindan, Association district president who addressed us.
