The race took a turn with Sonia opting out of the LS polls and taking the Lok Sabha route from Rajasthan to the Assembly. Sources revealed that the BJP is banking on Dinesh Singh’s connections with grassroots officials, especially at the village and block levels.
“I assure the nation that ‘Nakli’ Gandhi’s farewell from Rai Bareilly is certain. What is certain is that the lotus of the BJP will bloom and the Congress will fail. I have spoken with the four-term Congress MP Sonia Gandhi fights, so Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Rahul Gandhi are not important to me, whichever Gandhi chooses Rai Bareilly, they will lose,” Di said.
