Bharatesh Education Trust members held a press conference about the new engineering college – Bharatesh Institute of Technology — in Belagavi on May 23, 2024.

Belagavi’s Bharatesh Institute of Technology (BIT) will have a strategic partnership with Belagavi Start-ups Association (BSA). The idea is to boost innovation, entrepreneurship and industry exposure of BIT students.

BIT has made history as the first ever engineering college around this part of Karnataka to join hands with them even before starting its first batch which is joining this academic year.

MoU was signed formally on August 5. This ties in BIT’s Innovation, Incubation & Entrepreneurship Centre with several promising start-ups that include some established or supported by Belagavi.

On its campus, BIT will provide BSA companies with workspaces that are approximately 2,000 sq ft each and also take up to eight interns. In addition to this fact, it will allow them for guest lectures and other hands-on experiences for their pupils such as guest lectures. It will help bridge the gap between academia and industry.

The fresh college in Basavana Kudachi village will offer undergraduate courses in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering Information Science.
