U.S. President Joe Biden on Wednesday stated that anyone whorefuses to accept the fact that climate change played a role in the said disaster “must be brain dead” and called upon Americans to ‘put politics aside’ in order to concentrate on restoring the area affected by Hurricane Helene.“
While speaking before the press in Raleigh, North Carolina, Biden remarked on the need for unity when he said, “In a moment like this, we put politics aside; at least we should, and we have here. There are no Democrats or Republicans, there is only Americans who has one task; to save the biggest number of people in the least amount of time as much as possible, and the least amount of time.”
The President also directed some of the ire against those who refuse to accept that climatic changes caused the devastation, telling the audience: “Nobody can deny the impact of the climate crisis anymore at least I hope they do not, they must be brain dead if they do.” Biden added for fun: “Scientists tell us that with oceans swelling as the world warms, rain storms like Helene just keep getting worse and worse – they are not going to get less, they are going to get worse. Today in Nc, I witnessed the fury of that devastation.”
The comments about “brain dead Americans who are climate skeptics” invite immediate rebuke, as did former president Donald TrumpBidens campaign’s one. Some in Rosedepartment of memes a bimpo tweet The damage caused attributed to hurricanes climate change must be themselves ‘brain dead’ thunder-biden ‘the uniter-in-chief’- ‘must be brain dead.’

Harris invoked that ‘during these times of distress, one of the beauty of who we are as a country is that people raise their hands to do their best and we see the best of people, in times of distress.’ Great words, yes? This is nowhere near understood the way it sounds.
Biden’s handling of the storm has been more or less scrutinised by most within that some, however, contend that the initial relief effort from the federal government was tepid and slow to come to some of the most affected areas. Asked whether he could have overseen the federal response from the White House, Biden snapped back at reporters on Monday with “It’s called a telephone!”
More than 100 people remain missing while the storm related death toll across six states completely stands at 189, with 70 of those within North Carolina. Biden will go to Georgia and Florida on Thursday, whilst Harris is charged with heading to North Carolina sometime within a few days.
