During a radio interview with Philadelphia’s WURD, President Joe Biden recently stumbled on his words and called himself America’s ‘first black woman to serve with a black president’, confusing himself with vice president Kamala Harris.
“By the way, I’m proud to be, as I said, the first Vice President, first black lady…to serve with a black president. Proud to be part of the first African-American female justice on Supreme Court. There is lot that can be done because look … we are United States of America,” Biden stated.
It appears that Biden was trying to highlight the appointment of Kamala Harris as the first black female Vice President in his presidency. Serving with a black President probably refers to his term as Vice President under Barack Obama.
Moreover, in 2022 he spoke about Ketanji Brown-Jackson being appointed as the first African American female justice on the Supreme Court which happened during his administration.
This was President’s first post-debate interview after an intense week since his fiery debate with Donald Trump moderated. All eyes are now fixed on Biden because of his underwhelming performance during the debate.
On recent 4th July celebration at White House official event several mistakes and weird comments were made by President Biden making him appear disoriented at times. Accompanied by First Lady Jill Biden, Vice-president Kamala Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff he greeted the crowd by surprisingly shouting “Ho ho ho! Happy Independence Day!”
Nonetheless, in spite of increasing criticism and calls for change against him, President Biden has remained resolute that he will not quit running for office despite growing pressure.
