BB Ki Vines is a content creator, actor and one of the biggest YouTube stars in the country. He has now claimed copyright for his well-known character, Titu Mama.
Titu Mama has become quite a name among millions of people and it is characterized by two things; a savage sense of humor and style. The character is often featured in BB Ki’s vines and has since risen to be a cultural icon with an idiosyncratic self which resonates deeply with the audience.
Talking about this journey he said that “The journey of Titu Mama has been incredible”. I did not think that it would have such popularity when I first introduced him in my sketches. He appealed to my viewers due to his unique qualities as well as style which is deeply touching considering the love and appreciation he receives.”
Bhuvan added, “In 2018 we escalated Titu Mama into ‘Titu Talks’ where Shah Rukh Khan was our first guest followed by international star Johnny Sins, Ramcharan, Junior NTR and SS Rajamouli. And the response was huge thus reaffirming Titu Talks as popular show. Therefore we decided to register Titu Mama at Intellectual Property India so as to protect this intellectual identity. So now this step makes sure that nobody else can claim him as their own or share his face with others.”
By doing so, BB ki vines creator confirms that Titu Mama is copyrighted character which shows his intention to stay original regarding what he does. This shows how important it is for him to maintain originality since he went ahead and registered his work.
