Bhumi Pednekar set to attend Davos 2025 World Economic Forum: “The idea of being a Young Global Leader is to excel in our individual fields”
Bhumi describes her upcoming activities as a YGL for the World Economic Forum as “I will definitely be going for the YGL summit in Singapore which will take place this year. I’m really excited about that, really want to go for Davos as well although my shooting schedule is quite tight. So, this year we are trying to see if we can continue functioning as young global leaders who succeed within our domain areas too. It’s a very hectic year ’cause I am an actor and I am also an entrepreneur and I am also someone who needs to make an impact. My hope is that I’ll be able to come over there [Davos] and every platform where they need me.”
Earlier this month, the World Economic Forum released its list of almost 90 under-40 movers and shakers who are shaping tomorrow by setting fast pace changes through their groundbreaking work in public health, economic development, technology or sustainability.
Accordingly, World Economic Forum says that the list of 2024 constitutes an extraordinary assembly of emerging stars drawn from politics, business, civil society arts and academia. This roll includes such names like those of Adwaita Nayar – Nykaa Fashion CEO; Arjun Bhartia – Director at Jubilant Group; Priya Agarwal Hebbar – Non-Executive Director at Vedanta Limited; and Sharad Vivek Sagar, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Dexterity Global among other names.
For the past twenty years, the Young Global Leaders Forum has led in creating a distinctive community of leaders who take on some of the planet’s most pressing challenges head-on, according to World Economic Forum.
