Bhabi Ji Ghar Pe Hai actor Firoz Khan passes away due to heart attack.
Firoz had been in Badaun for a long time and was active there. A day before dying, he made a video of him performing the iconic Big B moment from the movie Coolie.
Saumya Tandon , an actor on ‘Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai’, spoke about her feelings to Indian Express: “This is really upsetting news. I am completely blown away by this news and devastated. It is extremely unfortunate that someone so young has passed away so soon. We worked together for a short period of time, but when we were shooting he was quietly spoken, polite and respectful all at once. He possessed great talent. The episode in which he played Amitabh Bachchan was amazing. It was quite hilarious that episode as well as the cast member who performed while holding it could not stop laughing at his funny looks during shoots or on set. Even when we were shooting the scene we laughed out loud at how much fun it was to have him play Dhobi (laundryman). As I speak right now I can see all scenes with him flashing in front of my eyes. Uff this is soo sad .I wish this is all a rumour.”
Charrul Malik who acted alongside Firoz Khan in Bhabi ji Ghar pe hai remembered him fondly and paid tribute to him. “Terribly bad news it is. I have met him many times, during award functions or even during our show’s shoot He used to be very humble and down-to-earth person His comic timing used to be very good back then. He always seemed happy and cheerful. He told me once let’s make a reel together but never happened”
In addition, Binaiferr Kohli, producer of “Bhabiji Ghar Pe Hain,” recalled how warm-hearted Firoz was. “He used to be the sweetest person on set. He was really pure and sweet who would get scared if anybody shouted at him. After Covid, he went into a shell and needed help. I told him to see a therapist. He had lost his mojo for acting. He didn’t want to perform, he was scared about functioning again. But I told him to come on the set and just be there with everyone. Then his mother got seriously sick and died. My heart bleeds for her loss – Just a few months ago, his mother passed away, and he slid further into depression.”
Kohli also remarked on how Firoz had suffered in life, “We used to call him for lunch so as to spend some time with him but no one could change his mind not even when we thought of putting him in a scene so that he could get his spunk back.” “He was going through some personal problems too which affected him badly because he is such a gentle soul.” It’s so sad that such an honest good innocent person is gone.”
Apart from bhabhiji ghar par hai, khan appeared in numerous television shows including Jija Ji Chhat Par Hai, Saheb Bibi Aur Boss, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan , Shaktimaan. He had a dance sequence in Adnan Sami’s music video ‘Thodi Si Tu Lift Kara De’.
