Trump, the former US president was watching TV on Thursday night and he did not like what he saw at all. Kamala Harris, his newly minted Democratic opponent had just claimed that he was groveling to dictators, imperiling democracy, betraying American values and she capped it with “an unserious man”.
So Trump called Fox News; immediately they patched him into their live coverage of the DNC and the former prez went off track in a meandering stream of consciousness rebuttal.He wondered why Harris hadn’t done those things she is now promising when she still is vice-prez? Trump actually ignored Fox anchors who tried to interject with questions several times. Trump’s remarks were interrupted by a familiar beeping sound at various points. It seemed like the ex-prez was inadvertently pressing buttons on the keypad of his phone.
This impromptu call-in lasted for 10 minutes until Fox News told him the network had run out of time shortly after taking to his social media platform Truth Social for real-time commentary.“Where’s Hunter?” he asked as Harris came onstage, thereby reviving one of his favorite slogans about Prez Biden’s son. During other times, while referring to Harris,Trump asked if she was talking about him (she did so often). He also accused Tim Walz of puffing up his resume as an assistant coach on a high school football team who ran alongside Harris.“Walz was an ASSISTANT Coach, not a COACH,” he wrote.
