Accusing Banerjee – the Chief Minister of the bordering state of West Bengal – of her so-called ‘appeasement politics’ on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, CHUGH claims that for the state of Jharkhand, Bangladeshi nationals are a prime source of trouble. BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari had previously blamed Mamata Banerjee for not providing lands to Border Security Force (BSF) for fencing work because of her appeasement politics.
Mr. Adhikari, Leader of Opposition in Bengal assembly arrived at Jharkhand earlier in the day to join the bus ‘Parivartan Yatra’ of the party in Dhanbad.
“There are 72 places in West Bengal where the Mamata Banerjee Government did not allocate land to the BSF to complete the MPAC in order to protect the border,” Mr. Adhikari stated in Bokaro. This was because the Ministry of Home Affairs had asked Mrs. Banerjee to give out land but she did not give out land because of vote bank politics and appeasement politics.
It was quoted in the report that, ‘Bangladeshis were crossing into India and settling in West Bengal via these gaps and consequently expanded in the population of the state to 35%.’
For protecting Jharkhand and Bengal from Bangladeshi nationals, double engine government is the necessity and for that thrust is to safely settle Bangladeshis to prevent them from overpowering Hindus and tribals of Jharkhand. Bangladeshi nationals in Jharkhand make life very difficult for Hindus and tribals and pose grave danger to society, Mr. Adhikari stressed.
The phrase ‘double engine’ is used by senior leaders of the ruling BJP in the context of both the party being in the Government at the Centre and the State. Mr. Adhikari pointed out that in the event of the return of the INDIA bloc to power in Jharkhand, “there will be a threat to nationalism, Hindu culture, tribes, and original inhabitants of the State”.
However, he asserted that it is for the development of the State that the people of Jharkhand would vote the BJP. ‘ There are more than 90 lakh Bengali language scholars residing in Jharkhand, and 90% of it is the lot of lotus politically and that is where the lotus is all that is part of BJP,’ he informed.
The Jharkhand High Court has directed the State government to identify illegal immigrants from Bangladesh.
Keeping an eye on the Assembly elections due later this year, the Opposition BJP in Jharkhand ‘siv \v~ had caste begun 6 ‘Parivartan’ rally or processions from 20 September with an aim to address the people and “give a peek into the failures” of the JMM government.
Surveys spanning a distance of 5,400 km will be undertaken across 81 Assembly constituencies in 24 districts and will be completed by 2nd October. In addition, such rallies are anticipated to draw participation of about 50 leaders from national and state’s level of the BJP including Chief Ministers of several states among other leaders.
