A 23-year-old Bangladeshi man, who came to India for medical treatment, went missing from a hotel in Kolkata, police said on June 22.
They added that Mohammed Dilwar Hossain, from Hemayetpur in Pabna Sadar upazila of Bangladesh’s Pabna district, was last seen on Wednesday.
After his family lodged a complaint at the Park Street police station, a search was started for him, they added.
A police officer said, “he was caught in CCTV footage moving around Maidan area very freely and after that he could not be seen. We are searching all over the place; we have also alerted the police in outskirts cities.”
He said that Mr. Hossain arrived in Kolkata with his family last week.
