The principal sessions court has relaxed bail conditions for former Kannur district panchayat president P.P. Divya, an accused in the case related to the death of Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Naveen Babu. The court’s decision on Wednesday was based on a petition filed by Ms. Divya through her counsel.
Under the revised conditions, Ms. Divya is no longer barred from leaving Kannur district and is allowed to attend district panchayat meetings. She is only required to appear before the investigating officer upon request, instead of the earlier mandate to appear every Monday between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.
