Kashmir, the silver screen will witness again the just as interesting love tale of Laila Majnu. On Thursday, July 25 actor Avinash Tiwary said that his debut romantic drama film in 2018 will be released again on August 2nd in all cinemas across the region.
The film is also a modern adaptation of a classic folklore and it was scripted by Imtiaz Ali who is a famous filmmaker and directed by his brother Sajid Ali. It was produced by Preety and Ekta Kapoor, former wife of Imtiaz Ali initially did not do well at the box office. But over time it has developed a cult following due to its heartrending representation of love and loss that have touched fans deeply.
“Taking Laila Majnu back to the big screen, especially in Kashmir, is absolutely thrilling,” said Avinash Tiwary to PTI. “The response from our fans has been overwhelming, which makes us believe that there’s no better place than this valley with all its beauty for us to relive this magical romantic story.”
Tiwary and Dimri have both moved far from when they made their first performance in Laila Majnu. He has won praise for his roles in movies like The Girl on the Train and Madgaon Express while she too has established herself as an actress worth watching through her appearances in Bulbbul, and Qala. She was last seen in Bad Newz.
