Malti Joshi, a veteran author and storyteller and a Padma Shri awardee passed away here on May 15 at the age of almost ninety, according to her family.
She died in the house of her son Sachchidanand Joshi, who is an Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) member secretary and also a writer, says them.
A source from their family said that she had become well-known due to her special way of telling stories; moreover, many universities throughout India have studied her works as part of various research programs.
According to information from sources, Malti Joshi will be cremated at Lodhi Road on May 16th .
In 2018 Malti joshi was awarded Padma Shri.
