The story was that a crocodile had been causing terror in an Australian town, stalking and lunging at kids and grown-ups, at times eating their dogs. The local people then killed it and ate it during a traditional feast, AFP reported.
Working with elders and traditional owners of the land in Bulla community, police decided to kill the reptile which locals had cooked “traditionally.” “The community prepared it for a feast in the traditional manner,” they said.
A nearly 3.6-meter-long reptile has reportedly been stalking children and adults by lunging through water bodies according to Australian police officers’ press release.
“It was also reported that it had taken more than one community dog” the statement concluded.
“I think someone made crocodile tail soup out of him; there were some pieces on a grill and some wrapped in banana leaves buried underground” said Sergeant Andrew McBride to ABC Australia public broadcaster.
“He added: “It was quite a large traditional meal.”
They say floods forced this crocodile to move into a river close to residential areas earlier this year. This river is positioned about six hours south of Darwin by car.
