Atlee Next Film To Star Salman Khan, Kamal Haasan In Pan-India Spectacle: Report
According to a report by Pinkvilla, Atlee has been meeting with both actors for several months now, and talks sound promising. “It’s a two-hero film that demands the presence of genuine superstars,” said an insider. “Both Kamal Hassan and Salman Khan are excited about the idea and the potential collaboration. They’ve given a yes in principle, but paperwork will be finalized after a complete narration later this month.”
“After Jawaan did well,” he continued, “Atlee aims to create the biggest action spectacle Indian cinema has seen till date. Speaking to these two megastars is one big step towards that.” The source also revealed that Atlee plans on starting filming as early as next year making it one of his most awaited projects for fans of both the actors and action thrillers.
Sources have indicated that Atlee wants to make a movie that goes beyond regional boundaries and reflects Indian movies at global level. Information about the story line or character sketches hasn’t come out yet though a global theme can be discerned from some insiders.
However, Bollywood Hungama reported last week that Atlee Kumar was also discussing with Rajinikanth. “Sun Pictures will produce it; they have a familial relationship with superstar Rajinikanth. On top of that since two years back Atlee has maintained contacts with Salman Khan. They believe they can get Rajinikanth and Salman Khan in one movie” said our trade source.
Although, there is no title for the proposed movie; it is scheduled to begin shooting by late 2024. Only time will tell which South superstar agrees to do a two-hero project.
