On Friday, officials said that at least 5 people died and 50 were injured in a gas explosion due to severe heat conditions in Sindh, Pakistan.
“According to the police, four children and one woman died after fifty others were injured when a shop in Hyderabad, Pakistan experienced an explosion of a gas cylinder”.
Injured persons were rushed for medical attention while five of them succumbed to the injuries on the next day following the incident which occurred Thursday in one of the shops located in Hyderabad area within Sindh after malfunctioning that resulted into bursting of a gas cylinder.
“The fire spread quickly right after the blast on residential floors,” said another source.
He also stated that this is likely due to an explosion caused by a gas cylinder because Sindh’s current heatwave situation is such that some places have temperatures reaching above 50 degrees Celsius.
