Announcing its brand-new movie, Berlin, ZEE5’s thriller has already made waves in the international film festival circuit. The first spy drama of its kind, set around New Delhi during the 1990s, has received critical acclaim from many world famous film festivals. Among other things, this includes showing at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM 2024) on August 17th at Hoyts Cinema. Berlin is directed by Atul Sabharwal and stars Aparshakti Khurana, Ishwak Singh, Rahul Bose, Anupriya Goenka and Kabir Bedi.
This high-stakes drama praised for great performances and unique narrative technique is going to be a captivating story about undercover work amidst deception and moral ambiguity. Produced by Zee Studios and Yippee Ki Yay Motion Pictures, Berlin is scheduled to premiere on ZEE5 soon.
The movie Berlin is set in Delhi’s freezing winter of the 1990s, where a silent storm of espionage is brewing. The three main characters are about to have their lives intertwined in some way. Ishwak Singh will play an extraordinary challenging role as a deaf and dumb teenage boy who has been allegedly accused of being an alien spy. Aparshakti Khurana will be seen playing the role of a sign language expert for which he left his comfort zone to unravel the mysteries hidden in silence. Anupriya Goenka adds fire as an enigmatic undercover agent with murky loyalty. As Rahul Bose races against time battling external and internal threats within his agency, the layers start peeling away; allegiances shift and puzzles mount: In a world where nothing appears as it seems. And they all wonder who comes out alive from this high-stake game of betrayal.
