The Nandyal Assembly constituency had a total of 1,603,220 voters in 2019. Valid votes cast were 1,299,093. He collected a total of 720,888 votes. Mandra Sivananda Reddy of Telugu Desam came second with 470,769 votes. His margin of defeat was 250,119.
