The Nampally court in Hyderabad on Monday (December 30, 2024) postponed the hearing in the casepertaining to actor Allu Arjun’s bail to January 3.
This comes shortly after the actor made a virtual appearance before the Nampally court on Friday (December 27, 2024) in connection with the ongoing investigationof the Sandhya theatre stampede case, which claimed the life of a woman and left her son hospitalised.
Mr. Arjun is currently out on interim bail granted by the Telangana High Court. The actor was arrested on December 13 after a case for culpable homicide not amounting to murder was booked against him. The Nampally Court had sent the actor to judicial custody for 14 days and he was lodged in the Chanchalguda jail.
His lawyer approached the High Court, which granted him interim bail the same day, asking him to move the trial court for regular bail.
As the 14-day judicial remand period came to an end on Friday (December 27), he was expected to appear before the court. Owing to security concerns, his lawyers sought permission for his virtual appearance. Further proceedings regarding his judicial remand have been adjourned to January 10.
