According to a close source privy to the production team’s plans, the choice to push the date forward originates from difficulties faced in meeting the deadline of August. “The makers were always racing against time to finish the shoot and lock their edit,” said an insider. “It’s yesterday that they finally decided to delay the release date and an official announcement on the new date is expected to be made in a day or two.”

The source further added that they are currently planning for a possible December release this year. “Pushpa 2 team is considering several date options – which includes Dussehra 2024, December 2024, and Pongal 2025. However, it seems like it will come out somewhere around December”, they said.
Promotions impacted by filming delay in Pusha 2
This delay will likely cause a temporary halt in the film’s promotional campaign. So far, fans have been treated to a teaser and two songs but other promotions will probably be rescheduled following this change in dates. Having said that, it is worth mentioning here that the makers are yet to make an official announcement to confirm the same.
