It has been no secret the excitement surrounding Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina’s Jigra ever since its teaser trailer teased its exciting storyline. As per a report on PinkVilla, the official trailer for the movie Jigra will be released on the 26th of September. When modern filmmakers tend to play it safe in their marketing strategies, this release date has been strategically picked to drum up the audience’s interest before the actual release of the film which is 11th October coinciding with the Dussehra festival.
Stars Tease Upcoming Trailer
On September 23, Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina, cast members of the film, tapped into social media to ‘hype’ the trailer which was yet to be released. They displayed images of themselves with flowers hinting at the inclusionof the evergreen song Phoolon Ka Taaro Ka in the film. The supporting caption said: “Phoolon ka taaro ka, sabka kehna hai #JigraTrailer ab jald hi aa raha hai (Flowers and stars, everyone is saying that #JigraTrailer is coming soon). #Jigra in cinemas 11th October.”
About the Film
Jigra is a Vasant Bala directed action jail-break film, co-written by Debashish Irengbam and Bala among others. In the film, Alia Bhatt plays the character of Satya who is a sister with determination and goes to rescue her brother Ankur played by Vedang Raina. Manoj Pahwa has also been cast for a prominent role.
The music of the film has already brought some noise with the energetic number ‘Chal Kudiye’ reuniting Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh. This Notan song composed by Manpreet Singh and penned by Harmanjeet Singh is also one of the best numbers from the album. In addition, a few of the songs which have been recreated also feature in the teaser trailer including ‘Phoolon Ka Taaro Ka’ featuring voice of Vedang Raina.
The film was wholly coordinated by Viacom18 Studios, Dharma Productions, and Eternal Sunshine Productions and Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Alia Bhatt, Shaheen Bhatt, Somen Mishra served as the producers of the film Jigra. The filmmakers have announced that the film will hit the theaters on October 11, 2024.
