The much awaited sequel to Stree 2 started having paid previews from August 14th and has opened to a rousing response. The word of mouth is unanimously positive and the combination of humour and horror has got thumbs up. At the same time, there are some surprises. One of them is that Akshay Kumar has a rocking special appearance in it.

Without giving out any more details, we can say that Akshay Kumar’s scene is one of the highlights of the film and would be loved by the audience as well. This was written brilliantly by Niren Bhatt and directed flawlessly by Amar Kaushik.
This also means that Akshay Kumar will have two releases this Independence Day. He is also playing the lead role in Khel Khel Mein.
Interestingly, two other actors feature in more than one release this Independence Day. Tamannaah Bhatia makes lovely guest appearances in both Stree 2 as well as Vedaa. In Vedaa, he plays an antagonist while on Stree 2; he plays a funny sidekick.
Starring Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee; Stree 2 is directed by Amar Kaushik It is a sequel to Stree (2018) as well as part of Maffock Horror Comedy Universe whose other films are Bhediya (2022) and Munjya (2024). Bhediya’s lead actor happens to be Varun Dhawan who everyone knows appears in Stree 2 too.
