Ajay Devgn is eagerly waiting for the outcome of Neeraj Pandey Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, while he has already stepped into some other interesting projects as well. And one among the new line-up of films is Son of Sardaar 2, a popular action-comedy that will be featuring Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn. Unless you were living under a rock for the past month, it has been announced that Mrunal Thakur will also join them.
According to reports reaching us on June 2nd, various actors from the previous film and several others have been incorporated into this cast. Among the new members are Neeru Bajwa, Kubbra Sait, Deepak Dobriyal, Sharat Saxena, Roshni Walia and Ashwini Kalsekar. The same can not be said about Mukul Dev and Vindu Dhara Singh who were part of the first installment.
In an article by Pinkvillla it was said “’Son of Sardaar 2’ is a wholesome entertainer movie aimed at families and they have roped in an ensemble cast for it. This comedy caper’s plot hinges on eccentric individuals and its laughter emerges from amongst them as well as between them.’’ Notably important what is being highlighted here is that selection was done based on comedians ability to perform comic scenes convincingly and make people laugh throughout 2025.”
The film is being shot over two continents: “This movie is primarily located in Scotland where the team intends to shoot in until August ends. As soon as they finish shooting internationally there will be another schedule in Mumbai before moving onto North India where it shall continue,” explained our source.
Though details about Son Of Sardaar 2 are being kept under wraps by its producers Ajay Devgn’s and Sanjay Dutt’s on-screen camaraderie is expected to be fun filled. The release date has not yet been finalized, but it might hit the theaters in the second half of 2025 as per sources.
