After the first instalment was well received, Rakul Preet Singh will be back as Ayesha Khurana in the much awaited De De Pyaar De Part 2. Who after starting the shoot of Son of Sardaar 2 is likely to start shooting for this Akiv Ali romantic drama with Rakul in the lead. The Joint Family also starred Tabu, Jimmy Sheirgill among others, was well received at the box office and warranted a sequel.
Moreover, readers would remember the romance between Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh in the first De De Pyaar De, which was adored by many of the viewers. But these two kinds of characters are filled with bright colors and fun; Mrs. Ayesha played by Rakul and Mr.Could there be any better chemistry than that between a young woman Ayesha romantically linked with a middle-aged man Ashish that of Ajay Devgun. The dose of comedy added during the romantic sequences worked very well and the audience enjoyed every bit of the film.
As per reports, currently an insider close to the team of De De Pyaar De 2 states, “It is understood that the pre-production is currently in the works for a 45-50 day calendar in spectacular and country locations in Punjab. While Madhavan, Rakul and the other cast and crew members leave next month for Punjab Ajay Devgn will be joining after his Son of Sardar 2 schedule that is currently being shot in the United Kingdom.”
Ajay will therefore engage in a battle of wits with R. Madhavan who plays Rakul’s father in the sequel. There will be a twist in relationships of the actors who played together firstly in a horror drama Shaitaan and recently in a romantic comedy. There is good news for all De De Pyaar De fans, who are also waiting for the second sequel, as Rakul will again be back to add more spice in this sequel which is going to be De De Pyaar De 2, scheduled for June 2025 release.
