Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan of the Bollywood film industry will reunite in the long-awaited sequel of a comedy hit; De De Pyaar De which was released in 2019. The sequel is currently being produced, with another feature which introduces Madhavan as Rakul Preet Singh’s father. Anshul Sharma directs this movie that has funny moments mixed with dramatic ones, and whose storyline is based on age difference.
Madhavan has been added to the cast
In the beginning, it was planned that Anil Kapoor would be part of De De Pyaar De 2 but he decided otherwise and R Madhavan took his place. This will be the second time R Madhavan works with Ajay Devgn after they collaborated on Shaitaan. “A source close to the production told Hindustan Times that “Madhavan will play Rakul’s father.” In addition, we are going to see a lot of hilarious comparisons between Ajay and Madhavan as their characters are rivals who vie for Rakul’s love by dating her against her father’s wishes.” This energizes whatever sequence Madhavan makes him an appropriate character.
Plot highlights
De De Pyaar De 2 continues with a tale about Ayesha (Rakul Preet Singh) and Aashish (Ajay Devgn). Alternatively put, this sequel analyzes how Ayesha’s family, especially her dad reacts towards her affair with an older man. Again, Rakul Preet Singh comes back as well as Ajay Devgn for their original roles in part two. On another note however actress Tabu who played Devgn’s wife in the first film isn’t coming back for its sequel too. Also being shot in Mumbai, the film is being directed by Anshul Sharma as well.

This means that Madhavan and Devgn have a different type of screen relationship which will fit perfectly with this movie. To be honest, there is a certain kind of rivalry between the characters played by Ajay and Madhavan about Rakul dating someone older than her father. This dynamic with him works for the story, just right according to Madhavan.
De De Pyaar De 2 offers an enjoyable journey, portraying unconventional love stories at their height while introducing some fresh faces in it. Thus, fans are eagerly waiting for the release of this film since they want to know how its intriguing plot will unfold on big screens.
