BJP National Spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said Mani Shankar Aiyar called the 1962 Chinese attack on India an “alleged invasion”, revealing that Congress party is anti-India.
Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar’s description of China’s 1962 attack on India as an “alleged invasion” reflects the “anti-India mindset” of the Congress party and is a “signal to enemy countries” to interfere in the ongoing electoral process, the BJP said on Wednesday.
According to BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia who was speaking to journalists, Mr. Aiyar had not uttered such words without Rahul Gandhi’s consent, adding that he could not refrain from describing this silence as Mallikarjun Kharge’s unutterable point of view.
Mr. Aiyar made the remarks at a book launch on Tuesday. Though he immediately issued an apology, while his party distanced itself from his comments, a controversy seems to have blown up around them.
MoU with China’s Communists
Mr. Bhatia said instead of distancing itself from its leaders’ remarks, it has become usual for congress to distance itself from them especially concerning china.
He noted that during the era when United Progressive Alliance was in power; Congress had signed MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with China’s ruling Communist party without giving any details about it according to him.
“Instead of going against China Rahul Gandhi can only betray India,” accused Mr. Bhatia stating that those donations given by Chinese embassy are bribes offered for Rajiv Gandhi Foundation.
