On Wednesday morning, August 7, 2024, an official said that a special Air India flight had landed at New Delhi Airport after bringing in 205 people including six infants from Dhaka.
The Bangladesh capital-bound chartered aircraft operated using an A321 neo took off late on Tuesday.
According to the information given by the official who preferred anonymity, the Air India flight brought back from Dhaka a total of 205 people including six infants. The plane flew with no passengers from the national capital and it has been taken care of by Air India amid infrastructural challenges faced at the airport according to the official.
Two daily flights will be operated by Air India between New Delhi and Dhaka starting from Wednesday.
Its morning flight on Tuesday was cancelled by Air India but evening flight was operated to Dhaka.
Vistara is also scheduled to operate its services to dhaka as well as IndiGo airlines into the bangladesh’s capital city too.
Presently, Vistara has three flights per week from Delhi and daily flights from Mumbai to Dhaka.
Normally, one can board on this airline’s planes at these cities several times each day. e.g. Generally IndiGo operates one flight in a day between Chennai (formerly Madras), Kolkata (formerly Calcutta), Mumbai (formerly Bombay) or two every day from Kolkata or even several times. e.g. Its Tuesday flights were both grounded because of similar factors by IndiGo and Vistara.
The prime minister quitting her job and running away over street protests concerning job quota have created political uncertainty in this neighbouring country.
