Edappadi K. Palaniswami, the General Secretary of AIADMK, announced on Wednesday that the party would hold an emergency executive council meeting on August 16.
Mr. Palaniswami has stated that the meeting will be at MGR Maligai which is the party’s headquarters in Chennai and would be chaired by A Tamil Magan Hussain who is the presidium chairman.
This statement did not give any explanation for why the meeting was called.
He added that all members of the executive council, MLAs as well as MPS and district secretaries among others ought to take part in this talk show.
Previously, AIADMK had shelved a meeting of distict secretaries that had been scheduled for August 9.
