The prime minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi who is about to visit Russia for two days has described the relationship between India and Russia as “special and privileged strategic partnership” in his words.

In July 8th – 9th, Mr. Modi will be in Russia where he will attend the 22nd India-Russia annual summit to examine all that is involved in multifaceted relationships between the two countries. He also noted that “the last decade has seen advances in ties between our countries including energy, security, trade, investment, health care, education, culture, tourism and people-to-people exchanges.”

“I expect to deliberate on all aspects of bilateral cooperation with my friend President Vladimir Putin as well as discuss various regional and global issues. We want this region to be peaceful and predictable. Besides meeting with Indians living there in person,” he said.
At the end of his tour to Moscow; PM Modi’s next stop will be Austria which becomes the first country that an Indian Prime Minister visits after four decades since then
“In Austria I look forward to meeting President Alexander Van der Bellen and Chancellor Karl Nehammer. A staunch reliable partner like Austria shares democratic values with us,” it adds.

“I look forward too after having discussion with Austrian Chancellor towards understanding business interests from both sides thus promoting trade links between India and Austria. As a result there are Indian professionals who have made their mark abroad.”
