Kolkata: Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose filtered CCTV recording To present Raj Bhavan female staff before Thursday, choose a group. She said she was induced into revealing her identity without consent “another criminal act that even made her contemplate suicide” when she saw him going out of the premises last week to do an indecent act.
It is seen in the video of this woman between 5:33 pm and 6:41 pm on May 2 that she went to a police outpost inside the compound and then left by car.
The TMC ministers condemned the screening and questioned Governor’s intentions especially his position not to show the video to “Mamata Banerjee (CM) and her police” as well as his earlier claims about his official capacity which exempted him from prosecution. Bangladesh Women and Child Development Minister Shashi Panja Panja announced a “boycott” of Bose. “Would I have sat next to him on the same podium if people told me he had been accused of molestation?” Panja wondered.
“The governor has committed a heinous act and is now trying to cover up his crimes by staging a farce,” wrote one complaint brief message in TOI. I know that Indian law inquires for complainant’s name being protected during investigation. .
She said it is because of governor tarnishing their reputation that she sobbingly confessed, ‘I just want to die.’ He published my video without permission so there is no any other option than committing suicide. However, if somebody really investigates it properly, then everything will be clear,” she added/ The applicant also revealed: “I was crying as I walked towards the police station…..it showed me walking with someone else……Govtmy bag had previously been snatched by a person who would take that person home in raj bhavan …….”
Minister Panja rejected Bose’s claim for immunity. “Constitutional immunity refers to his role as governor, not to opposing sexual abuse. But if he abuses his power and believes that abusing women is part of the governor’s duties… that’s a violation of the Constitution. You are not above that.” Law,” Panja added, declaring a “boycott”. There were 100 people present in Raj Bhavan when Bose announced it would allow “citizens of Bangladesh” to watch CCTV footage.
