The US Representative Lauren Boebert’s stomach tattoo has gone viral in a social media storm getting more attention than anyone could have anticipated. It was first spotted in a picture posted by fellow GOP Representative Matt Gaetz on the side of her stomach. Gaetz went ahead to post several photos featuring Republican women in bikinis, referring to them as “patriots.”
This bikini trend started with another Republican lawmaker, Anna Paulina Luna, when she wore a MAGA bikini, which sparked off countless online reactions. The Daily Mail called these pictures “thirst trap style,” and they have been going around widely leading to both praise and controversies.
Ginger Gaetz commented celebrating these pictures saying, “We love confident, healthy, patriotic women like Lauren.” The Boebert photos also form part of an extensive campaign by Republican Women to reclaim the narrative of the MAGA movement.
It is worth noting that just recently Boebert together with Ginger Gaetz hosted a ‘Hot Girl Summer’ happy hour with the DC chapter of Young Republicans adding another twist to this story.
Boebert’s reelection campaign in Colorado’s 4th congressional district is coming up amidst all this buzz. She won the Republican primaries in July 2024 and faces Democratic challenger Trisha Calvarese on Election Day.
As political temperature rises so does online discourse intensify; these viral images are fueling it further now. Whether it will affect Boebert’s campaign or it will go down as forgotten events remains unknown.
